Commission on Children & Families
Commission members are responsible for developing and recommending to the Board of Commissioners a Coordinated Comprehensive Plan for Children and Families. Additional Commission responsibilities are advocating and mobilizing communities to improve family well-being, building a system of services to support families, allocating state and federal resources, and monitoring and evaluating funded programs. Members are also called on to participate on sub-committees.
The Commission offers experience in coordinating services and engaging communities. These capacities increase Josephine Countyís ability to serve the common good with limited public resources. Commission meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month from 5:15 pm to 6:30 pm at the Josephine County Commission for Children and Families, office located at 700 NW Dimmick, Suite B, Grants Pass.
