|Description: ||Josephine County is actively recruiting for the position of Department Assistant in our Surveyor’s office. As an employee of Josephine County you will have a great opportunity to support your local community. This is a part-time position (approx. 16 hours/week). The ideal candidate will be a friendly and welcoming first point of contact for visitors to the Surveyor’s office. The Department Assistant will perform a number of routine clerical activities including the following:|
*Organizing Files and cataloging materials
*Gathering data and financial deposits
*Typing official letters and memos
*Tracing records that have been misfiled, etc.
High school graduation or equivalency, preferably supplemented with office experience; or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and ability to perform the above described duties.
