|Description: || Josephine County Juvenile Justice is seeking qualified applicants for our Transport Officer fill-in. This position is a female specific recruitment to meet regulations for our Juvenile Justice Department. This is a great opportunity for qualified applicants who are looking for a chance to make a positive impact in our community. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; or ability to obtain education requirement prior to end of probationary period. Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Oregon Driver’s License; safe driving record. Obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Providing secure and non-secure transports for youth to and from detention, youth correctional facilities, treatment centers, foster homes and community placements.
- Supervising individual or groups of youth performing community service projects or activities.
- Taking youth into custody, which includes processing booking and releasing paperwork.
