Jail Increases Inmate Population from 105 to 140

Sheriff Gilbertson announced today that effective November 17th, the Josephine County Jail will increase the inmate population from 105 to 140. This is two weeks ahead of schedule and was requested by the Jail Deputies.  Seven Deputies graduated from the Academy on November 6th, which enables the Jail to open it's doors to a 35 more inmates.  The funding for the additional staffing was approved by the Budget Committee and Josephine County Commissioners.
