Information Regarding Missing, Possibly Endangered California Man Last Seen North of Grants Pass

Oregon State Police (OSP), Josephine County Sheriff's Office, and Haywood, California police are asking for the public's help to locate a missing, possibly endangered California man seen last Thursday at a rest area north of Grants Pass. Information indicates his family is concerned about his personal safety and mental health.

On Sunday, March 19, 2011, Haywood Police Department was contacted by family members of ELIJAH SHREWSBURY, age 24, reporting him missing after discovering information leading to their concerns about his personal safety and mental health condition. His blue 1990 Mercury Sable four-door was found by an OSP trooper abandoned later that date at the northbound Manzanita Rest Area north of Grants Pass.

Interviews with people who frequent the area indicate SHREWSBURY was seen Thursday, March 17, at the rest area. SHREWSBURY is described as a white male, 6'00", 180 lbs, with red hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information in Oregon regarding his whereabouts is asked to call the OSP Southern Command Center dispatch at (541) 776-6111.
