Josephine County 28th Annual Youth Tree Plant
The 28th annual Forestry Youth Tree Plant event will be held on Thursday, February 9th, Friday February 10th, for schools and participants requiring week days and Saturday, February 11th, 2017 for Scouts, 4-H Clubs, Young Marines and other participants. This is the only continuous youth tree plant in the State of Oregon - approaching an estimated 100,000 trees planed on Josephine County Land southwest of the city limits of Grants Pass. Over approximately 21,400 youth have planted trees since 1990.
This is a great opportunity and experience for all participants!
Participation must be pre-scheduled and co-ordianted with the Josephine County Forestry Department (see attached information, map and releases/approvals). Some slots in the schedule have already been filled. Please contact Josephine County Forestry Department at 541-474-5291 for more information and for scheduling your group to participate.
