Mission Statement
“We are committed to protecting our community by providing accountability for adult offenders, opportunity for reformation and justice for victims."
The Community Corrections Department supervises, as well as provides treatment and services to, over 1,000 offenders in Josephine County who have been placed on probation by the courts or placed on post-prison supervision by the Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision. This department is comprised of Field Services and the Alternative Programs Office located at 510 NW 4th Street, where the majority of the parole/probation officers are stationed and programs such as Supervisory Authority, Community Service / Work Crew, Home Detention, Cognitive/Behavioral and Alcohol and Drug Treatment are housed. The Adult Division also has satellite offices in Cave Junction and Wolf Creek to provide supervision and services to the more isolated areas of the county.
Specialized supervision of sex offenders, domestic violence offenders, inmates on transitional leave from prison, and those offenders suffering from mental health difficulties are examples of the integral part of the work that is accomplished in the division in partnership with other law enforcement and human services agencies.
The Josephine County Community Corrections Department is committed to implementing best practices in the supervision and treatment of offenders, focusing our efforts and resources on the highest risk population and providing treatment and supervision practices that are evidence-based and proven to be effective in promoting public safety, changing offender behavior and reducing recidivism.
