Every person who lives or works in Josephine County shares responsibility for minimizing the impact of disaster on our community.
Josephine County Emergency Management program is responsible for coordinating activities related to county-wide planning, mitigation, response, and recovery from natural and man-made disasters; coordinates writing and revisions for all emergency operations plans. Administers Homeland Security Grant, Emergency Management Performance Grant, Citizen Corps, and the State Public Health Emergency Preparedness Grant. The program meets emergency preparedness guidelines on exercising, planning and responding to all emergencies. Program also relies on close coordination with local, state agencies and community partners for preparedness activities and responding to disasters.
